A99 aquata breather
The A99 aquata breather was a small breathing apparatus that allowed oxygen-breathing lifeforms to survive underwater, in space, or among noxious gas for up to two hours. Jedi Knights commonly carried aquata breathers during field operations.
Imagecaster
The Imagecaster was a model of personal holoprojector that was manufactured by SoroSuub Corporation at some point prior to the Invasion of Naboo. These devices were commonly carried by members of the Jedi Order during the Clone Wars.
Jedi Beacon Transceiver
The Jedi beacon transceiver was an encoded subspace receiver beacon carried by members of the Jedi Order, allowing them to receive signals and broadcasts from the Jedi Temple on Coruscant.
Beacon transceivers were small, portable devices with a display screen and communications transceiver. The transceiver picked up broadcasts from the Jedi beacon on Coruscant or from any Jedi's personal comlink. In emergencies, a Jedi would broadcast Emergency Code Nine Thirteen to any beacon transceiver in range, calling for immediate assistance. These devices also picked up recall and retreat signals from the Temple, commonly when HoloNet channels were compromised.
Holomap
Holomaps were topographic maps portrayed by holographic means, usually for military use.
Homing Beacon
A homing beacon, homing device, or tracking device, was used to track starships or any other entity being transported. Capable of transmitting data enormous distances, homing beacons could relay the position of a ship even after several hyperspace jumps.
Hush-98 Comlink
The Hush-98 comlink, manufactured by the SoroSuub Corporation was a type of handheld comlink. In addition to standard communication abilities, the Hush-98 featured a 100 kilometer range, variable frequencies, encoding, a locator, silence projectors that created a field of white noised around the user, allowing for private conversations, and was also capable of sending complex data, such as the blood sample data from Anakin Skywalker.
Components of the Hush-98 included a reception antenna, voice pickup, encoding selector, sound projectors, sound reproduction matrix, frequency search control, and locator.
Delta-7 Aethersprite-class light interceptor
The Delta-7 Aethersprite-class light interceptor, more commonly known as the Jedi starfighter due to its extensive use by Jedi, was an interceptor commissioned just before the outbreak of the Clone Wars in 22 BBY.
The starfighter was highly advanced and carried sophisticated equipment, but it was expensive to produce. The ship was armed with four laser cannons, and an advanced communication and sensor array kept the pilot of the ship well-prepared in firefights as well as peacetime.
The Delta-7 fighter was fairly prominent in the Clone Wars, mainly through its use by Jedi. One of the most famous encounters and tests of the Delta-7 was the tracking of bounty hunter Jango Fett by Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi through the asteroid fields of Geonosis.
Datapad
A datapad was a small, usually low cost, electronic device used for storing information. Taking the place of the more primitive book, a datapad could store textual, graphic, and holographic data. They were commonly used as notebooks, day planners, calculators, and sketchpads. Some models could interface with and download information from larger computer networks. Most datapads came standard equipped with a touch-sensitive color screen, audio pickups, headphone ports, and power cells.
Personality/Attitude:
Obi-Wan Kenobi is a stronghead, impatient person. He loves the Jedi Order and protects it at all costs. As a Jedi Master he learned that patience and wisdom are unique traits, and he prefers to listen than to speak from then.
Background/History:
Like all the Jedi of the old order, Kenobi was taken from his family as an infant to undergo training. He knew very little of his parents or of his brother, though he would later visit them on occasion. Kenobi grew up in the Jedi Temple of Coruscant, alongside such fellow apprentices as Bant Eerin, Siri Tachi, and Bruck Chun.
Kenobi was a headstrong adolescent who longed to become a Jedi. As is custom, when a hopeful achieves the age of 13, he must become a Padawan. Otherwise, he is too old to proceed in his training. Washouts are instead sent to the Agricultural Corps where their Force talents are directed to tending sick crops rather than protecting peace and justice.
For an agonizingly long time, the impatient Kenobi thought he would never be chosen as a Padawan apprentice. The Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn, whose past tragedies had left him hesitant to take on a new apprentice, overlooked Kenobi as a Padawan on several occasions.
It was not until young Obi-Wan attempted to bring Qui-Gon's previous apprentice -- one of the few fallen Jedi of the order -- to justice that Jinn accepted Kenobi as his student. Once partnered with Master Jinn, Obi-Wan began to explore the galaxy. He traveled to many new worlds, and encountered new alien cultures -- an exciting prospect for a boy of 13 who had been raised in the sterile corridors of Coruscant.
Though Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon's relationship would grow stronger during their adventures, it was not without its trouble. On Melida/Dann, Obi-Wan nearly left the Jedi order as he joined the Young movement that strove to end a civil war on the planet. Kenobi was ostracized for his transgression, and Qui-Gon nearly abandoned his training. When Qui-Gon decided to continue Kenobi's training, the Padawan vowed never again to disappoint the order.
After passing the trials and achieving Knighthood, Obi-Wan's reputation and valor continued to grow unabated. The outbreak of the Clone Wars saw him promoted to a General in the Army of the Republic, with thousands of clone troopers at his command. He and his Padawan, Anakin Skywalker, were dispatched on many missions, and both came to be regarded Republic heroes of that terrible conflict.
